DESCRIPTION:Overview\nThe DICES project is hosting its fourth webinar\, on working conditions in the care sector. The session brings the project’s ongoing research together with the perspectives of social economy practitioners and workers’ representatives. \nThe first part introduces the EU-wide survey on working conditions in the care sector\, developed by University College Cork within DICES. The following panel then links the survey’s research questions to the experiences of social economy organisations from different countries and a European trade union organisation\, examining the challenges\, practices\, and policies that shape working conditions in care. \nThe webinar is open to social economy organisations\, care-sector practitioners\, workers’ representatives\, researchers\, policymakers and anyone interested in care work and the social economy. \nKey themes\n\nWorking conditions in the care sector across Europe\nThe DICES survey on working conditions in care and how to take part\nThe role of social economy organisations as employers and service providers in care\nThe perspective of workers and trade unions\nPolicy conditions and practices that can improve care work\n\nSpeakers and moderator\n\nAnne Guisset (KU Leuven)\, coordinator of DICES\, will open the webinar and introduce the project.\nAnwesha Mukherjee (University College Cork) will present the DICES survey on working conditions in the care sector.\nMarina Monaco (ETUC) will bring the perspective of European trade unions and workers’ representatives.\nClaudia Petrescu (Centre for Nonprofit Legislation) will speak on the situation of social economy organisations in Romania.\nDónall Geoghegan (The Wheel) will bring the experience of the Irish community and voluntary sector.\nGianluca Pastorelli (Diesis Network) will moderate the panel and the discussion.\n\nView the agenda here.
